It is with a great amount of pride and excitement that I am sending you this letter, inviting you to join us for this year’s 31st Anniversary celebration of the Craig Simpson Never Say.... “Never” Charity Classic. It’s hard for me to believe that so much time has passed since we started this journey. Our first event was held on August 23rd, 1989 at the Belvedere Golf and Country Club. Our mission for the event, was to raise funds for the newly formed Spinal Cord Injury Treatment Centre Society (SCITCS) to further research and acquire equipment to improve the quality of life of people with spinal cord injuries.
Fast forward 31 years, and I am proud that we have held true to our mission of helping people with SCI help themselves, and our impact on this community has been far reaching. Our efforts have helped raise millions of dollars and allowed SCITCS to reach out and help so many people live more productive lives. Through the efforts of our tournament, SCITCS, our Craig Simpson & Friends Charity Fund, and the Alberta Paraplegic Foundation, we have successfully fulfilled our obligation to fund an Endowment Chair in Spinal Cord Injury at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Chester Ho was brought on last year to run this program, and thanks to so many of you, his work will ensure that our impact on our community for research and rehabilitation will continue for years to come.
This year our 31st Anniversary Celebration will be held on August 6-7th, 2019. The Night of Hope Event, Hosted by the River Cree Resort and Casino, will be on Aug 6th at the River Cree Resort and Casino at 6pm, and for the 31st year, the golf will be hosted by the Belvedere Golf and Country Club on Aug. 7th at 1pm.
I understand that there are so many worthy and deserving charitable events throughout our great city, but I hope that you and your friends and your business partners will find the time to join us in Sponsorship once again, to celebrate 31 years of making a difference in our community.
I look forward to seeing you all on August 6th and 7th.
Sincerely,

Craig Simpson and the "Never Say Never" Charity Committee
